Potcake Puppies in Need of Fosters or Forever Homes
Welcome to our story! We’re five Potcake puppies currently living with our foster parents, Miss Griz and Mr. James, in Cupid’s Cay, Eleuthera, Bahamas. Rescued when we were just tiny pups, our journey has been one of love, care, and recovery. Now, we’re looking for new fosters or forever homes in Eleuthera, Spanish Wells, Harbour Island, and Nassau.

Our Story
From Rescue to Recovery
We were rescued on Cupid's Cay, Eleuthera, Bahamas and they brought us to the Baark! Spay and Neuter Clinic in James Cistern, Eleuthera. They gave us a chance at life, and Miss Griz stepped in to foster us temporarily until the next clinic was scheduled on November 7, 2024 in Green Castle.
When our next foster arrangement fell through, Miss Griz and Mr. James stepped up to ensure we were safe, healthy, and well-cared for while searching for a long-term solution. They have been tirelessly providing us with everything we need—from flea and tick treatments to vaccines, a cozy and secure place to rest and play, plenty of socialization, and nutritious meals to support our growth and keep us thriving.
With their care, we’ve grown stronger every day. On November 28, 2024 (US Thanksgiving Day), we’ll visit Dr. Italia Sands and her team at Noah’s Ark to ensure we’re in tip-top shape and ready for the next step in our journey.

Meet Us
We’re a playful, loving bunch, each with our own unique personality! We all love to eat (Purina Puppy Chow is our favorite) and we enjoy playing with toys, tennis balls, and sometimes even our food and water bowls and towels (oops!).
Keanu - ADOPTED!
- UPDATE: Keanu will be going to live in Toronto. He flies to Canada on 12/02/2024.

- UPDATE: Lives in Toronto with a loving and beautiful family. He flew to Toronto on 02/03/2025
- Harry will be going to live in Halifax to his forever home.

Coco - ADOPTED (Now called Gus)

Jolene - ADOPTED (Now Called Daisy)
- UPDTAE: She is in her forever home in Halifax with a family that gives her lots of love anD attention. She is luck to be loved by such a wonderful family.

- Thinks she is the smartest of the litter, playful, and always wants to be the leader
- Loves to be the first to eat and takes charge of everything

We have all been adopted and we are all Canadians. Two of us are Torontonians and three of us are Nova Scotians.
Our Daily Life with Miss Griz & Mr. James
Life at our foster home is filled with love and care. Every day, we:
Eat crunchy and moist Purina Puppy Chow—yum!
Play with toys, tennis balls, and each other. We sometimes get into trouble by chewing towels or food bowls.
Train - we’re all potty-trained to use pee pads indoors.
Miss Griz keeps a detailed journal of our daily activities, medical treatments, and progress to ensure we’re on track to becoming healthy, happy dogs.

From the very beginning, Miss Griz and Mr. James, in collaboration with the amazing team at Baark!, have been deeply committed to ensuring we receive the best care possible. They recognize that our health is the foundation of our happiness and well-being, and they’ve worked tirelessly to provide everything we need to grow into happy, healthy pups.
By prioritizing our health, they are not only helping us thrive in our foster home but also preparing us for the exciting journey to our forever families. A strong start—both physically and emotionally—ensures we’ll be in the best possible condition to adapt and flourish in new homes. Thanks to their dedication, we have the best chance to thrive and bring endless joy to the families waiting for us.

Our Medical History
Our health care journey has included everything we need to grow into strong, happy, and healthy pups.
Our medical journey...
- 10/30/2024: Dewormer (Praziquantel/Febantel/Pyrantel) to keep us free of intestinal parasites.
- 10/31 - 11/2/2024: Dewormer (Pyrantel, 5 ml each morning for 3 days) to ensure continued protection.
- 11/5/2024: First round of vaccines and started on Amoxicillin Liquid (0.5 ml twice daily) to prevent infections and support our overall health.
- 11/28/2024: Second round of vaccines
- Skin Care: Medicated soap and shampoo (diluted) to heal our sensitive skin and encourage healthy hair growth after flea treatment.
- Upcoming Care: Third round of vaccines and a thorough checkup at Noah’s Ark on 12/12/2024 to keep us on track.
Between Miss Lissa McCombe and the Baark! team, Dr. Dan and his team, Dr. Italia Sands and her Noah's Ark team, and the loving care of Miss Griz and Mr. James, we are receiving everything we need to grow strong and stay healthy. When we come of age, we will also be spayed or neutered, ensuring we’re fully prepared for a healthy and happy future in our forever homes.
Thanks to this dedicated care, we’re now flea-free, thriving, and feeling amazing. With their continued support, we’re on the path to bringing endless joy and love to the families waiting for us.
